SAN LUIS OBISPO, MAY 7 - S.L.O. ROTARY TEEN TRACK MEET (at San Luis Obispo High School): An impressive showing by the SLDC Roo Rats, including wins in all four sections of the mile. Talley was 30 seconds ahead in her race, Veronica won by 15 seconds, and William used a big kick in the last 200 to take the top spot in that section. (This is the #1 time in the country among high school girls so far this outdoor season.) Savannah Camacho ran to her first Arcadia Invitational championship in the women's 800. Clocking a 29.0 first 200 meters, Savannah settled in with the leaders as they crossed the 400 in 1:01.6. Savannah moved to position herself during the 3rd 200 with the field hitting 600 in 1:36.6. As they rounded the last curve, Savannah found herself three abreast with some of the nation's best high school 800 runners.
